Tom Jones and Osmond Specials

A double-bill of lavish cabaret entertainment, with two of the foremost names in American show-business, hosting their own separate television shows. Tom Jones, the English super-star who took America by storm, arrives at the famous Knott's Berry Farm, just in time to go on stage in front of a capacity audience. Although his roots are in Rock and Roll, it seems as though he appeals to fans from all age groups, and he soon has everyone clapping their hands and stamping their feet in appreciation.
Tom's guests include the fantastic Tanya Tucker, who keeps things rocking with a couple of hot solo numbers before joining Tom in a romantic duet version of "Help Me Make It Through The Night".
Then the bubbling Evelyn "Champagne" King gets the rocking rhythm back into the show, building up the tempo for the finale in this non-stop pop spectacular.
The second show features four members of the famous Osmond family, brothers Alan, Merrill, Wayne and Jay, hosting their own mini spectaculars. And showing that they're at home with any musical style, Jay opens the show with his "Hot Disco Special", featuring the one and only Ann-Margaret and a host of beautiful go-go girls in a rhythmic dance routine. Merril Osmond concentrates his energies on two old rock and roll numbers, which soon have the audience on their feet as the band shifts gear and starts running in overdrive. Wayne has his own ideas about entertainment which he combines in the "Weird, wild, wacky wonderful world of Wayne". Then last but not least, the equally talented Alan presents his "Plain and simple extravaganza", which features actor, songwriter Kris Kristofferson and his wife Rita Coolidge. Kris is one of America's big talents in songwriting and his melodies make any show memorable, especially "Me and Bobby McGee".
Then, just to round the whole super-show off, the multi-gifted Osmond Brothers join forces to sing their own versions of two great English hit tunes, in their Osmond Brothers Reunion Special. This is cabaret at its outstanding best!
